Advancing uPVC Window Systems in Southeast Asia
Fascina is widely recognised as the leading solutions provider and manufacturer for uPVC window and door systems in Southeast Asia, particularly in Singapore and its surrounding region. Founded in 1987 through a European franchise model and later evolving into a privately owned local brand, the company has earned strong brand recognition through long-term customer relationships and a focused approach to product performance and durability. Its long-standing slogan, “Where PVC-U windows mean Fascina,” reflects this brand identity.
Since 2012, Fascina has partnered with aluplast, a global leader in uPVC window and door profile technology, to support its product offerings. For Fascina, the collaboration is rooted not only in technical capability but in shared values and operational synergy.
“After nearly two years of discussions and technical evaluation, we selected aluplast because of their high manufacturing discipline, well-established extrusion facilities, and strong internal culture,” says Fascina director Christopher Yeo. “The fact that they’re a family-run business made them a relatable and stable partner for us.”

As the region’s foremost provider of residential uPVC window and door solutions, Fascina is acutely aware of the performance demands posed by Southeast Asia’s tropical environment. The region’s hot and humid climate requires profiles that resist warping, fading, and moisture infiltration while maintaining long-term thermal stability.
To ensure uPVC windows remain robust under such conditions, aluplast developed a compound called Tropical Mix in the late 1990s. This formulation has been tested and certified by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), which exposed the profiles for two years at weathering stations in Ohio, Florida, and Arizona.
In both artificial and natural weathering tests, aluplast’s profiles proved durable and weather resistant. They passed key assessments—including the Charpy impact test—and earned full AAMA certification. “aluplast ensures we use only tropical-grade extrusion materials, including colour-appropriate profiles that maintain stability in high UV and humidity conditions,” says Yeo.
The technical cooperation between Fascina and aluplast is characterised by speed and practical problem-solving. “We work closely through regular video calls and email exchanges,” says Yeo. “Our technicians provide feedback from real-world challenges, and aluplast consistently offers viable solutions—either from existing systems or tailored adaptations.”
Yeo highlights aluplast’s flat organisational structure as a strength. With minimal bureaucratic delay and a robust global engineering network, aluplast can accelerate product adjustments—an advantage in a fast-paced market.

Fascina regularly encounters customer requests requiring precision and adaptability. While its core work focuses on single-dwelling residential builds, customisation is often essential.
“When customers request special design details or uncommon configurations, aluplast is our first point of contact,” Yeo says. “Their input—whether in drawings or technical advice—helps us deliver confidently.”
Access to documentation, training, and responsive consultation helps Fascina’s teams stay aligned with international standards and retain their competitive edge.
Beyond technical alignment, Fascina and aluplast share business values: transparency, long-term collaboration, and mutual accountability.
“Mutual trust is fundamental to everything,” says Yeo. “Open, objective conversations with a supplier allow us to respond to shifts quickly and efficiently.”
As regional competitors introduce innovations and aggressive pricing, Fascina’s alignment with aluplast’s innovation pipeline keeps it ahead of competitors.
Although Fascina’s current focus is private residential projects, its partnership with aluplast provides the flexibility to diversify. “Our market remains relatively stable, but we’re always aware of evolving customer needs,” Yeo says.
When asked to summarise the relationship, Yeo describes it as a “formidable PVC-U triangle—Extruder, Producer, Customer. No one can exist without the other.”
In a demanding and evolving region, this trio of trust, material performance, and shared innovation continues to position both Fascina and aluplast for long-term relevance and mutual growth.
